Using Epsom Salt to Get Rid of Acne

A lot of people suffering from acne always note that after a nice trip to the beach, specifically the ocean with its salty waters, they experience a significant decrease in the amount of acne they get, but only for a short period of time. If you want to help get rid of your acne, and want to get that same ocean water deep-cleaning effect, then you're in luck, because it's dead simple.
The method simply involves you mixing a tablespoon of Epsom salt in a cup of warm, or hot water. Use this new mixture to wash your face, gently scrubbing. Alternatively, you may decide to simply use a cotton ball to wipe along the surface of your skin. Try to use up the entirety of your concoction for maximum effect.
If you decide to do this during the day, simply wash it off after about fifteen minutes. Alternatively, and this is the method I recommend due to its increased exposure to the salts, you may leave the mixture on overnight. Before bed, wash your face gently remove the surface oils, and then apply the Epsom salt/water mixture as directed earlier. Leave it on your skin, and wash it off in the morning when you wake up. Do one or the other for a few days, and then if you wish, use the wash both in the morning, and in the evenings.
The most dramatic changes to have been noted were over the period of two weeks, but others have started noticing results as early as three days in. Do note however, that the Epsom salt works by drawing out all of the acne, white head, and black head causing bacteria and dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. This can cause what appears to be initial breakouts during the first three days of use. Just remember that this is simply removing what is already there, so that later uses of the Epsom salt will serve simply to keep pores from blocking in the future.
The Epsom salt wash has been hailed by many individuals, especially those who have tried a variety of other medications and creams. Epsom salt has helped with both simple red bumps and blackheads, all the way through to cystic acne, reducing the size, redness, and swelling, and helping bring cysts to a head much quicker than normal. It has helped people suffering from a decade of pimples, all the way to those with adult onset acne.
Overall, the method is extremely simple, does not involve any strange smelling or sticky ingredients as is common in other home remedies, and it has been noted repeatedly on forums and blogs of its effectiveness. If you're looking for a way on how to get rid of acne, look no further.
