Top Health Tips For Women Made In 2013

A shocking study from this year has also revealed that the cost of birth control in Florida varied considerably. In less wealthy areas, it was found that the cost of prescription contraceptives were more expensive compared to the same product in wealthier zip code areas. The research has raised concern for those in need of the drugs but are struggling financially. In March of this year, the United Nations shared research that states that by 2015, approximately 233 million women will still be unable to access modern forms of contraception. With contraception being such an essential tool in preventing unwanted pregnancies, it allows women to decide on their desired family size. Contraception is also key in reducing the number of women dying in both pregnancy and childbirth especially as it's a very cost effective method of intervention. An American study has also found that women could in fact slash their chances of having a heart attack by up to 32% by simply eating 3 servings of either strawberries or blueberries each week. It's thought that this could be due to the effect of the flavonoids contained within the fruits which prevents a build-up of plaque in the arteries, which is great news for wine drinkers as its thought the same result is achieved. 2013 has also revealed the results of a lengthy study carried out during 1996-2008 that was trying to establish whether or not there is a link between depression in women and the consumption of inflammation-spurring foods. The study excluded any women already suffering from the condition. The results showed that women who regularly ate foods such as pasta and red meat, were in fact more prone to developing depression. Across the pond, comprehensive research has been done by the Environmental Protection Agency to assess the current levels of mercury in women's blood. As women are now more aware of the health risks associated with consuming high levels of mercury, its thought that women are now thinking more carefully about the types of fish they eat. Mercury has been linked to both kidney and neurological problems. At the latest annual meeting for the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, new information was announced claiming a possible link between a lack of sleep and a woman's ability to conceive. It suggests that women who work irregular shifts could be put at a higher risk of not conceiving whilst those who work during the night increase their chances of mis-carrying. The reason behind this thinking is that interrupted sleep could be affecting their internal clock, so in order to maximise fertility, a woman should aim to get between 7-8 hours' sleep each night. There's been some good news though for cancer survivors, as a recent study has shown that two-thirds of women who have survived cancer before the age of 21 were able to successfully go on to have a child. The statistics were taken after 3,500 18-39 year old sexually-active women were looked at, which revealed these promising results. This year, preliminary findings into a baby's brain development has suggested that getting the normal 20 minutes of moderate exercise 3 times a week could help. Researchers are still to make definitive findings but it's thought that regular exercise helps to boost a baby's all round development. New findings by researchers at Duke's University has suggested that women who are diagnosed with breast cancer in its early stages could have a better chance of survival if they opt for a lumpectomy and radiation instead of a mastectomy. In recent times many women have been opting for mastectomies for psychological reasons instead of medical, however, more research still needs to be done. The US Preventative Services Task force changed its guidelines several years ago surrounding the age at which women should receive routine mammograms. Despite the organisation deciding this, women between the ages of 40-49 are still going for the test with numbers slightly increasing. The results are a good indication that women are taking their health seriously. This year the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology revealed the results of its study into post-pubescent women's increased chances of developing food allergies, asthma and rhinitis. They believe women are more likely than men to develop certain conditions as a result of both genetics and sex hormones. The final big health story for women this year involves a bra, or rather why you shouldn't wear one. Although almost all women wear a one on a daily, research suggests they may not be beneficial. By not wearing a bra, a woman doesn't develop her body's natural tissue which supports the breasts. So not wearing a bra is not only more comfortable, but also better for you too!

Students Design Condom Brand For Women

Does design have an effect on whether or not women buy condoms? Apparently so. A student team at the School of Visual Arts in New York created a new condom brand and design specifically aimed at women. The students were taking a course called Design for Social Value which was sponsored in part by the Center for Disease Control. They surveyed a group of women and found that many not only were embarrassed to carry prophylactics around in their cart at the grocery store, they also judged other women who did so as promiscuous. The brand is called Mine, which is a great name because it requires women to take ownership for their condom usage. A "This condom is MINE, it was made for ME, and I'M going to use it," sort of thing. Which is excellent At my job we've been getting a lot of questions about whether or not it's cool for women to bring condoms on dates in case things go down. The fact is, buying condoms isn't a gender role, and safe sex is everyone's responsibility. As someone who also hates tampon ads, half of me is insulted. I don't want it to be true that women have to have a cutesy product to have safe sex. I want everyone to feel safe and secure buying any type of condoms. But then the other half of me is like, "Holy crap, these totally match my bathroom! They're ADORABLE! Where can I get them?!" So, well-played, Mine condoms. But look, if it gets ladies out there buying condoms and having safe sex, who am I to judge? I'll just take my box of adorable condoms back to my corner and wonder when we're going to stop being so judgmental of women who are taking their health and safety into their own hands. In the meantime, Mine condoms could fill that gap. Since this was just a class project, there's no word on whether or not Mine will be produced commercially yet. But additional awesome ideas included partnering with gynecologists for testing and data, as well as selling in a package with feminine hygiene products, which would make buying condoms a normal part of the monthly routine for women. The students also considered having a delivery service, which really does kind of nullify the whole 'Let's make cute condoms so women won't be ashamed to be seen buying them,' vibe. But hey, baby steps.

Exercise To Beat Menopause Night Sweats and Hot Flashes

Did you know that only one in twenty menopausal women who exercise regularly suffer with hot flashes and night sweats? I know that exercise is a dreaded word for many women over a certain age, but once you get started it really isn't so bad. The trick is finding something you enjoy and combining it with a healthier lifestyle; quitting smoking, drinking less and eating better is always a winning health combination. It not only helps with the awful sweating but also lessens the risk of more serious issues associated with aging, such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. Exercise done properly can only be a good thing. If the idea of getting a better night's sleep and controlling your sweating has you limbering-up as you read this, then do continue for more health benefits to inspire you. Benefits of regular exercise It enhances muscle tone, flexibility and your strength It instills a sense of calm and wellbeing, which improves one's self-esteem Promotes increased energy and aids concentration It decreases anxiety and depression It relaxes, revitalizes and can diminish muscular and mental stresses and tensions Weight bearing exercise such as walking, dancing, and stair-climbing improve and maintain healthy bones. There is also less chance of developing the following conditions: Colon and breast cancer Cardiovascular disease Diabetes High cholesterol Osteoporosis Arthritis For general wellbeing there is nothing better than exercise. Endorphins are released naturally as you workout improving your mood, outlook on life, and general longevity. Exercise and Menopause Another dreaded side effect to the menopause is weight gain, (oh joy!) especially around the stomach area where some women will add an extra ten to fifteen pounds. Weight often shifts from the thighs and hips to the stomach; making more of an apple-shape as opposed to the more common pear. It is said that once women reach their late thirties they can expect to gain one pound each year until their mid-sixties! You don't have to let that happen of course, just twenty to thirty minutes of exercise a day can break the one-pound-a-year trend, and may even result in weight loss. Types of Exercise I'm afraid the excuse of not being able to afford astronomical gym prices is not going to cut the mustard! All you need is a decent pair of sneakers, the will and drive to improve your health, and a little time carved out of your daily schedule. Aerobics exercise is fantastic for the heart and controlling your weight, and depending on which type you choose it could even be enjoyable. Here's some fun examples of aerobics activities: Salsa dancing Ice skating Swimming Cycling Skipping Rollerblading Running, jogging and walking Isometric and Anaerobic exercises tone your muscles and increase your overall stamina. It also stops muscle turning to fat, making us much weaker as we age. Some classic examples are: Tai Chi Calisthenics Yoga Weight lifting Finding the will and commitment to do this regularly will no doubt be your biggest hurdle. (Don't worry, you're not alone) Once you overcome the mental obstacles, your daily regime will not only get easier, it will become enjoyable.

The Symptoms And Treatment Of Vaginal Bleeding

Women at any age need to be concerned if and when they experience abnormally excessive vaginal bleeding. It is imperative to identify and analyze the reason for the overflow. The vagina or the uterus are most likely the causes, however there are remote chances that the bleeding could be from another source. If so it needs to be traced and the required treatment needs to be administered so that you can live stress free. The regular vaginal bleeding Every woman of child bearing age goes through a cycle of hormonal changes. This causes the ovary to release an egg. This egg needs to be fertilized in order to develop into an embryo which further forms the fetus. However, if the egg remains unfertilized the lining of the uterus along with the egg is shed and this is called menstruation. This cycle lasts from two to seven days. Overflow identified When there is abnormal bleeding and one loses more than the usual amount of blood, it could be a cause for concern and could be because of various reasons like: · No egg released during period though the woman is of child bearing age. · Fibroids · Bleeding caused due to other reasons apart from menstruation · Miscarriage · Ectopic pregnancy · Menopause · Pelvic inflammation · Cancer · Endometriosis · Cysts in ovary · Infection in vagina · Genetic Bleeding disorders · Drugs · Sudden impact or accident The bleeding can happen all of a sudden without any warning and will certainly will be a cause for the change in regular routine. A professional would also be able to limit further bleeding and save one of deficiency. A gynecologist will study the patient completely and understand if she has had any complications like abortions, bleeding disorders or surgeries. They will also note down information on the number of children, terminated pregnancies, any medication taken and birth control practices. All this information helps the doctor to identify the cause for the bleeding. The professional will also perform a complete pelvic examination to rule out issues. A number of tests like the pregnancy test, blood test to identify anemia, thyroid, blood clot time etc., and endometrial biopsy are suggested and depending on the result obtained the gynecologist comes up with a treatment plan. The common treatments followed are · Bed rest · Prescription hormones · Surgery It is mandatory to go on regular follow ups so that the gynecologist can keep track and monitor the recovery. Too much blood loss can cause anemia and many serious complications.

Natural Ways to Cure a Vaginal Infection

Although quite common in many women, vaginal infections can be of an annoyance at the best of times, as they tend to pop-up for no apparent reason at all. However, as with most things in life, there is usually a good explanation as to why they should appear in the first place. Causes - vaginal infections such as thrush (vulvovaginal candidiasis) are usually caused by a bodily imbalance of microorganisms (bacteria [friendly bacteria verses unfriendly bacteria]) that tend to affect the immune system. One common cause is antibiotic medicine used to treat infections, as it has the tendency to provoke the Candida albican yeast (microorganisms [part of the gut flora that live in the mouth and intestine]) to multiply and cause an infection. Due to this multiplication (overgrowth) toxins are produced in the body that can affect the immune system not just by causing an infection, but also by offering side-effects too (abdominal pains, depression, fatigue, and headaches). Other causes may include: pregnancy, diabetes, or when the body's defenses are low. It is also claimed that certain contraceptive pills and coils may also provoke vaginal infections, although there is no firm evidence to confirm that this is the case. Candida yeast (Candida albicans [a type of fungus]) can be categorized into three different types: oral, skin, and systemic, with those that affect the vagina resulting in a creamy (white/yellow) discharge that may also feel itchy or sore. Treatment - although vaginal infections are more commonly treated with anti-fungal drugs (over-the-counter, or prescription [containing the organic compound imidazole]) such as Canesten, some may also be treated at home. 1. Calendula Flowers - also more commonly known as "marigold flowers" have some very good anti-oxidants that can help with infections. Dried crushed leaves mixed with water and applied to the area of the vagina, or mixed with olive oil and taken orally (strain first) has a particularly good effect on vaginal infections. 2. Garlic - peeled and crushed into a paste and applied over the vulva (the external parts of the vagina), or a whole peeled garlic clove wrapped in muslin cloth and inserted into the vagina (overnight) have the effect of curing infections. This treatment should be repeated until signs of the infection disappear. 3. Natural Yogurt - applied over the vulva or onto a tampon before being inserted into the vagina and left overnight tends to works wonders. Yogurt contains "lactobacillus acidophilus" which regulates the yeast population within the body and helps to maintain a correct balance of alkaline-acid. 4. Lady's Mantle - should be added to rosewater and petroleum jelly (mixed well) and applied to the affected area of the vagina, once in the morning and then again before going to bed (leave for 15 minutes before washing off) to provide relief. Lady's mantle can be dangerous for babies and should not be used while pregnant. 5. Honey - should be applied directly onto the vagina and surrounding areas (leave for 15 minutes before washing off with warm water). Repeat the process once in the morning and then again before going to bed for best results. Honey holds many beneficial properties that can help cure vaginal infections. Other such treatments may include - cranberry juice (two glasses taken daily for one week), umeboshi plumb added to the bath (two 10-minute daily baths [water 6-inches maximum]) until symptoms disappear, diluted apple cider vinegar (used to wash the vagina, or mixed with honey and drunk several times a day), and grapefruit extract (ground grapefruit seeds mixed with olive leaf added to water and drunk). The same solution can be used to wash the vagina twice a day.

7 Reasons You'll Want That Nursing Bra Sooner Than Later

Since the 1943, when the first nursing bra was patented by Albert A. Glasser, according to an article by Wikipedia.org, women have enjoyed added comfort and support while nursing children and or pregnant. As the years have passed, countless changes have been made to the design, its constituents and its overall couture. Learn the top seven reasons why you never want to be without one. Comfort Most bras are not made from the same breathable fabric as a nursing bra is. Your breasts will overheat while creating milk; that's a fact. This means that standard bras leave you sweaty and messy whereas a nursing bra helps you remain cool and comfortable. Support It's all about support. Without ample support, you will be in much pain during this transition period. For example, your lower back will bear much of the brunt of the weight of your breasts while they are heavy with milk. If you are not fond of this taking place, then provide the support that your breasts require from the very start. Sleep Swollen, achy breasts need firm support when sleeping. Unless you are only fond of sleeping on your back, you will want a nursing bra to enable you to enjoy sleeping on your side while pregnant or nursing. Milk Pads It's no fun topic, but nursing can be messy business. In the middle of the night, your breasts can start producing milk that leaks and stains clothing. For that matter, it can occur at nearly any time. Strategically positioned milk pads prevent this calamity and save outfits. No Underwire An underwire is bad news when you are pregnant or nursing. The wire can block the milk ducts resulting in bacterial infection that can be passed on to the feeding infant. Avoid metal underwires at all costs when pregnant or nursing. Easy Feeding A nursing bra is designed to make nursing easier for you. One of the key features on these bras is the front easy-open clasp. This allows you to hold your baby with one arm while you easily open your bra with the other when feeding time arrives. Adjustable Hooks One simple feature that's inclusive of most nursing bras is the adjustable hooks. These are hooks that enable you to adjust the size of the bra as you need to. Since breasts can drastically change in shape and in size during and after pregnancy, you will assuredly want this convenient feature.

Fat Thinking Keeps Us Fat

I am a woman so I get it! I understand how worried we are about how we look and feel. Maybe even a little obsessed at times. However, the way we "think" of ourselves, as ladies, often keeps us in the exact place we don't want to be body wise. To fix our bodies we must first fix our minds. A positive mindset will propel us forward but a negative mindset will always hold us back. Just this week I had 2 female clients tell me that they were too out of shape to come in to exercise. Now, they were not saying they could not physically do a workout. No - instead they were too embarrassed to. Here is what they told me: Client 1: Note: This client has lost a significant amount of weight. She has recently gained some of it back. She hasn't been in to exercise consistently in months. This may have something to do with her gaining some weight back but I think it goes deeper into the mindset. Our mind and bodies work together. She tells me she misses coming in and training with us. I tell her we miss her and would love to have her back. Then she tells me she may come back when she loses some of the weight she has gained back. She goes on to say, "I don't want to disappoint ya'll." Client 2: This lady calls to get information on our training services. I ask her when she can come in for a consultation so that we can meet and I can see where she is now. Her response: "I just want information because I am too out of shape to get started with a trainer right now." I ask, "How so?" She says, "I haven't been doing anything and need to start exercising first." This is like cleaning your house before the housekeeper comes to clean. Things that make you go "hmmmm???". Unfortunately, these ladies are not alone in their thought process. As women, we don't want to "look" like we can't keep up. We don't want to "look" like we have put on a few pounds. In our minds it seems easier to stay away because of our embarrassment or shame. My answer to these two ladies and so many more with the same thought process is: You have "Fat Thinking" and it will make and keep you Fat and out of shape. It is what it is ladies. You are where you are whether you stay at home and hide or get out there. If you want to change it then face it head on. Only then can you start DOING things that will change you. Being scared and embarrassed will do nothing to change YOU. Jumping in and getting to work will. Let's get to work!

What Are Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Major Precautions?

Early pregnancy symptoms differ in each woman and each pregnancy. However the most common symptom of pregnancy is a missed or delayed period. Understanding these early signs of pregnancy is vital for each symptom could be related to something else other than a possible pregnancy. You may experience some symptoms during the first week of conception or they can fail to be felt during the first few weeks. What symptoms are to watch for? Spotting Among the earliest symptom of pregnancy is implantation bleeding. The embryo implants itself on the uterine after about 6-12 days from conception. Some women will experience cramping and others spotting. Tender/Swollen Breasts Another pregnancy symptom is tender or swollen breasts. This may start as early as the first two weeks of conception. Most women will notice slight changes in their breasts; they may be sore or tender to touch or swollen. However, this may also be as a result of hormonal imbalance, impending menstruation and birth control pills can be behind swollen or sore breasts. Tiredness/Fatigue Feeling tired or constantly fatigued is another pregnancy symptom. This symptom can be felt as early as the first week of conception. Other possible explanations could be; exhaustion, stress, common flu, depression and other illnesses can leave you with a feeling of fatigue or tiredness. Morning sickness/Nausea This is a well known pregnancy symptom and can be felt within 2-8 weeks of pregnancy. A few women are fortunate as they don't have to deal with nausea/morning sickness during their pregnancy, while others will feel nausea during all their first trimester of pregnancy. However, there may be other explanations to this like; a change in hormonal balance due to the change of the birth control pills/method, stress, food poisoning or other stomach disorders which may also make you feel queasy or nauseated. Headaches A sudden rise of hormones can cause you to have headaches during the first trimester of pregnancy. This might also be as a result of other factors like dehydration, impeding menstruation, caffeine withdrawal; eye strains besides other ailments can be a source of recurrent headaches or even migraines. Backaches Another symptom that commonly occurs in early months of pregnancy is backaches, but also a dull backache could be experience during the whole pregnancy. This could also be as a result of stress, an impending menstruation and other back pains or problems or mental strains could result to these backaches. Periodic Urination After 6 to 8 weeks of conception, you could find yourself having a frequent urge urinate. However, there might be other reasons for this like; diabetes, an infection of the urinary tract, excessive intake of diuretics or an increased intake of liquids. Food Cravings and Aversions During pregnancy, many women may experience cravings for certain foods. This can last the entire three terms. Some will develop cravings while others will be grossed by some foods hence an aversion is made for most times of the nine months. There may be other explanations for this that may not necessarily be inclined towards pregnancy. They're; lack of certain vital nutrients, poor diet, depression, stress, impending menstruation or due to an illness. Some women during pregnancy may have a majority of these symptoms or just a few. If any of these symptoms persist, it is advisable to seek professional medical help or consult with your doctor so as to offset them if they're not as a result of pregnancy.

Ditch the Dreaded Feeling of Going to the OBGYN

For most women, annual visits to the OBGYN are a dreaded event. In fact, some ladies neglect their health in order to avoid making this appointment. Even though the OBGYN is nobody's favorite place, it is imperative that women take care of themselves and schedule check-ups as recommended. Furthermore, females must learn to feel comfortable with talking about their personal health in the company of their OBGYN. Having to deal with this responsibility may not be pleasant, but it can certainly be overcome. Just as with anything else in life, the more you do it, the more comfortable it gets. If you get in the habit of visiting your OBGYN as needed, and can openly discuss your health, it will seem like less of a dreadful chore. Not to mention, your body will thank you for the preventive care, which is so critical for long-term overall health. Invest in Your Self Health Taking care of your body requires time, effort, and even a fair amount of funds, but it is all worthwhile. That is why it is so essential that get the most out of every doctor's visit that you possibly can, because you are investing in your own health. One of the most important things you can do to ensure that happens is to find an OBGYN that you trust and feel comfortable with. Once you have selected an OBGYN that is ideal for you, keep the following questions in mind. These are just some examples of the kinds of questions you might want to ask, and should feel completely comfortable asking during your visit: • How often do I really need to make an appointment? • What is the best form of birth control? • How long does it take before the birth control becomes effective? • What are the best vitamins for a woman's health? • How can I maximize my chances of getting pregnant? • What does it mean if I don't get my period every month? • Should I be concerned about the number of sexual partners I've had? • What does it mean if I notice an odor? • Do you recommend douching, and if so, how often? • What kinds of discharge should be cause for concern? Most of these questions are not easy topics of discussion, but your OBGYN is the only person that can answer them knowledgably. Plus, your OBGYN is a trained professional, who is not only trained to answer these questions, but also prepared to. You should never hesitate to talk about your health during your appointment, and should never worry that your question is dumb. One of the worst things you can do when you have a question or concern regarding your health is to resort to the Internet. This is a common practice because it is convenient and anonymous, but it will not provide you with a valid response. Instead, utilize your OBGYN's phone number. Even if he or she cannot answer your question immediately, you can either leave a message, or a nurse practitioner can help you. Again, the key is to get to a point where you are completely comfortable with your OBGYN so that dreadful feeling is just a thing of the past.

Natural Treatments For Menopause Symptoms

Did you know that you don't have to suffer from menopause symptoms? Natural remedies for menopause have been around for centuries. Many people, including women -sadly- talk lightly about the emotional upheavals and physical changes that take place in our bodies during the change of life. They often refer to these symptoms as being simply annoying and uncomfortable. But you and I, know that menopause symptoms, particularly the emotional ones can severely disrupt one's life and strain relationships. Because of this, different cultures and communities around the world have had to find and develop ways to manage menopausal symptoms. What Happens During Menopause? Menopause is a natural consequence of aging. For us women, it means that the ovaries start producing less of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. This reduction in hormone levels does not happen abruptly, nor is the decline in production a smooth downwards curve. Rather, hormone levels keep fluctuating, and can be higher or lower than the pre-menopause days or the same. It is this erratic fluctuation of hormones responsible for the unpleasant symptoms that we experience during this time. How Do Menopause Treatments Work? There are two types of menopause treatments: Hormone Replacement Therapy or HRT Natural Remedies For Menopause The idea behind both types of treatment is not so much to cure as to alleviate menopause symptoms. They are intended to provide relief from the effects of menopause, by stabilizing the fluctuating hormone levels in your body. In this way you can maintain your life on a more or less even keel until the peri-menopausal phase is past. Remember it can last up to 6 years or more. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Hormone replacement therapy or HRT as the name suggests, involves replacing the hormones the body has lost due to reduced production by the ovaries. HRT alleviates the symptoms of hot flashes and vaginal dryness among others. Menopause: A Welcome Change

At present, millions of North American women are menopausal. The majority of these women begin to experience the symptoms of menopause between the ages of 45 and 59. However, some women undergo symptoms at an earlier age. Menopause is marked by a decrease in the levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. The more common symptoms of menopause include hot flashes, insomnia, memory loss, anxiety, decreased libido, hair loss, thinning of the skin, irregular bleeding, arthritis, osteoporosis, and vaginal dryness. A healthy diet is very important in combating the symptoms of menopause. Menopausal women should focus on a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains and low fat sources of protein, such as lean meats and legumes. Nutrient-rich foods, including soy and ground flax seeds, should be incorporated into the diet in liberal amounts. Fibre-rich foods should also be increased. Calcium containing foods, such as nuts, seeds and green-leafy vegetables should be integrated to maintain bone health and to aid in proper muscle function. Nutritional supplements are extremely important for the menopausal woman. B vitamins, calcium, magnesium and zinc are just a few of the many vitamins and minerals that can help to minimize the symptoms of menopause. A fish oil supplement rich in the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA is important in maintaining healthy brain and heart function. GLA, another essential fatty acid, is important in maintaining healthy skin and combating the muscle pain that some menopausal women experience. Herbs have been used for centuries in the treatment of menopausal symptoms. Black Cohosh is a herb that is widely used as a natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy. This herb has been used to effectively treat hot flashes, vaginal dryness, anxiety, night sweats and headaches. Dong Quai is a herb found in many menopausal formulas and is used primarily in the treatment of hot flashes and to relax the uterine muscles. Some herbs, such as Ginseng and St. John's Wort, are used to treat the anxiety, depression, insomnia and fatigue that many women experience during menopause. Many women view menopause as a negative transition in their lives. They see it as a sign of getting older and as an indication of declining health. It is extremely important to address the huge emotional impact that menopause has on a woman. Some women feel less desirable to their partners and this in turn can lead to feelings of depression and isolation. Research has shown that the occurrence of menopausal symptoms is affected more by a woman's emotional state than by the level of hormones in her body. Menopause should be seen as a positive turning point in one's life. It is a time to reflect, to embrace new opportunities and to enjoy life. Menopause does not mark the end. Rather, it signals a new beginning.
